Szechuan Delicious Restaurant

Amazing food and value. The lunch combo is only $32 for 3 dishes and rice. CASH ONLY so bring cash. There are signs all over the door. That's an indicator of a good Chinese restaurant. There are some truly bizzare 1 star reviews from people who didn't bring enough money to pay for their food, but felt justified in complaining

Unbeatable value. I ordered a set menu meal for 4, and it ended up being cheaper per person than a fast food joint. I ended up taking the leftovers home and it took several days to finish everything. The food is unapologetic Sichuanese home cooking, spicy and delicious. Nothing fancy, nor it needs to be. I especially enjoyed the cumin lamb and the spicy braised fish. The decor of the restaurant is ancient and the bathroom is small and dimly lit, but that could all be forgiven considering the price and quality of the food. Be aware that this restaurant only accepts cash or e-transfer. They do not accept Visa nor MasterCard.

If you like chilly, mala flavour and good service this is the place. Service was pretty fast and server explained us what they were and the spice level. Payment is in cash. Tan tan noodle (peanut based sauce), spicy Shrimp hot pot with vegetables and cold spicy meat dish were pretty good.

A taste of Szechuan cuisine, really great! The restaurant is not big, but it is very neat and tidy, bright and comfortable. It can accommodate two, four or even eight people for gathering and drinking. Every dish is decent and tastes good. You can choose the spiciness yourself. The price is very affordable, especially the set meal, which is really super member price. The services are very good. They are nice

Best quality authentic Sichuan food for its price. This is honestly my favourite restaurant in Richmond. I was so sad when they closed before, glad to see they’re back in business! Service is great, though I don’t know how well they can speak in English since we spoke in Mandarin. We ordered their 4 people meal (see attached photos) 6 dishes for $52 before tax. We’ll be visiting here more often now that they’re back in business!

Excellent value for the tasty food. However, negative stars for being a cash only place (but then again, that's to be expected for Richmond...tourists should avoid here, but locals should flourish). Not even debit is accepted! Dishes were excellent, tasty, flavourful and filling. Try their family meal combos for large groups! The spicy fish soup was for once, in plentiful quantities vs others places in terms of pieces of edible fish pieces.

First time in their new location ever since they moved from across Richmond Centre. Food quality didn't disappoint, though quantity did (inflation!). Service is friendly and prompt. Must try: (1) shredded potato in vinegar dressing, (2) spicy and sour fish soup (adjustable spice level), (3) glass noodles with sweet chilli dip. If still hungry: (1) stir fry cumin lamb, (2) spicy diced (kung pao) chicken with peanuts. Glad some (good) things don't change; a Richmond gem!

It's not fair to rank this restaurant 3.7 Their dishes are all above average and some of them are excellent. Just the food I'll give 4 stars, plus the competitive price, they worth 5 stars!
